After 3 earthquakes strike off Bali’s coast in one day, officials caution residents to remain alert
Last night, a 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Bali at 9.17pm. Indonesia’s Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) noted that the quake’s epicenter was 198 kilometers southwest of Nusa Dua, and had hit at a depth of 10 kilometers.

An earthquake measuring 4.9 in magnitude struck off the coast of Bali this morning, with tremors reportedly felt in Kuta and Denpasar, as well as Gianyar and Tabanan regency.
According to Indonesia’s Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), the quake’s epicenter was 84 kilometers southwest of the island, hitting at a depth of 71 kilometers at 9.29am.

Bali police arrest two Australians for cocaine possession in Canggu nightclub
The Denpasar Police arrested two Australian nationals on Friday for cocaine possession, with police saying the two each face a potential maximum 12-years sentence under Indonesia’s notoriously harsh drug laws.
“We received a tip-off that some Australians were using drugs and so we conducted an investigation for a week and when we arrested them it was true that they were using cocaine,” chief of the Denpasar Police, Ruddi Setiawan, said during a press conference earlier today, as reported by Kumparan.

A woman named Lisa Marlina might have to deal with authorities for allegedly insulting Bali in a tweet in which she claimed that sexual harassment is non-existent on the island because Balinese people “enjoy being harassed” and that prostitution is rampant on the island.
