Tons of fish washing ashore at Bali’s Batu Bolong beach unrelated to earthquake, BMKG says (VIDEO)
Officials from Indonesia’s Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) has rebuffed the rumors circulating on social media that the large number of fish that washed up on Batu Bolong beach last night was somehow related to the earthquake that struck off the coast of Bali this morning.

Did you feel the earthquake this morning? Bali was hit with a 5.8-magnitude quake that struck the southwest of the island, with tremors felt in Badung regency and even parts of West Nusa Tenggara, as well as Banyuwangi and Jember in East Java.

6.0-magnitude earthquake strikes off coast of Bali’s Nusa Dua
A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Bali this morning, but no tsunami warning was issued and there were no immediate reports of major damage or injuries.
The quake’s epicenter was 83 kilometers southwest of the island, hitting at a depth of 68 kilometers at 8:18am, according to a tweet posted by the country’s Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) shortly after the quake.
