Authorities in Bali will be conducting random COVID-19 swab tests at the province’s various ports of entry starting tomorrow, as the number of incoming travelers is expected to increase following last week’s Eid holiday in Indonesia.

AstraZeneca vaccines in Bali are not from suspended batch: health official
The batch of AstraZeneca vaccines recently suspended from distribution in Indonesia are not among the ones distributed in Bali, the province’s health agency chief has confirmed.
Ketut Suarjaya on Sunday listed the batch codes of AstraZeneca vaccines that Bali has received thus far: CTMAV514, CTMAV516, CTMAV539, and CTMAV544.

Police arrest civil servant in Bali for alleged rape of 10-year-old girl
A 59-year-old civil servant from Bali’s Klungkung regency was arrested for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl, as police continue their investigation into the case.
Klungkung Police Chief Bima Aria Viyasa said the suspect was in a relationship with the victim’s mother, and that he raped the girl twice since last year.

Bali police bust 3 for forging COVID-19 results for travel
Three people were arrested in Bali’s Jembrana regency for allegedly forging COVID-19 results, as authorities tighten security measures amid the ongoing Eid homecoming mudik ban.
Jembrana Police Chief I Ketut Gede Adi Wibawa said officers grew suspicious after the driver of a private vehicle showed several negative COVID-19 test results for his passengers at a checkpoint in Gilimanuk, Jembrana on Sunday.

Police have arrested two men in Denpasar for allegedly stealing drugs from a local pharmacy, among which hundreds of sedatives were found.
