Bali appears set to reopen to domestic tourists on July 31, even as there is little indication, if any, that we’re slowing down the coronavirus outbreak in Bali and across Indonesia.

Police have arrested a 20-year-old man, who has been on the run for almost eight months, for the alleged statutory rape of his employer’s child. 

The man, identified by his initials MTI, was arrested at his home in Banyuwangi, East Java last week.

Foreigners who entered Indonesia with visa-free access are now told to apply for a telex visa in order to apply for other stay permits that will allow them to remain in the country, Director General of Immigration Jhoni Ginting said in a circular issued yesterday.
