Bali motorcycle taxi driver arrested after stealing police officer’s gun
A 40-year-old app-based motorcycle taxi driver (locally known as ojek online or ojol for short) was arrested in Denpasar for allegedly stealing a police officer’s gun.
The ojol, identified as PRA, reportedly pretended to help a police officer who got into an accident on Jalan Sunset Road in Kuta last Saturday.

A whale shark found washed ashore on Pekutatan Beach in Bali’s Jembrana regency earlier this morning has reportedly died due to exhaustion, just hours after it was first found by local residents in the area.

Human foot found on Bali’s Berawa Beach, police investigating
A beachgoer found part of what is believed to be a decaying human foot on Bali’s Berawa Beach yesterday afternoon, with police now investigating the discovery.
According to reports, a foreigner filed the report soon after discovering the foot on the beach, which has since been brought to the local hospital for further examination.

Bali on Indonesia’s priority list for COVID-19 handling: National task force
Bali is now included in Indonesia’s priority list for COVID-19 handling, head of the national task force Doni Monardo said today, as the worrying spike in coronavirus infections this month has resulted in a high hospital bed occupancy rate on the island.
