Sumarjaya explained that a report regarding the case was filed earlier this month, and police are currently investigating the case. The man, identified by his initials GS, is being held at the Jembrana Police for robbery. 

Police said GS first raped his step daughter, identified by her initial S, earlier this year in April. GS reportedly raped S a total of five times, coercing her to be intimate when their house was empty. 

According to a report from Nusa Bali, GS married S’ mother six years ago, and was often home with S because he only does odd jobs.

“He [GS] threatened the victim so she would not tell anyone about his lewd acts. The victim was afraid of him so she complied,” Dewa Sudiasa, who is also from Buleleng Police, told Nusa Bali.

Sudiasa explained that S’ uncle was the one who filed a police report, after he grew suspicious of his niece’s growing belly.
