A 5-meter long python was reportedly spotted in Denpasar, Bali, earlier this morning, causing quite a stir in the area before it was eventually captured by local authorities. 

According to an official from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), local residents found the snake slithering around a cemetery located on Jl.

Imam Bonjol in Denpasar and reported the matter to the agency at 7.28am, as reported by Detik.  

Joni Arimbawa from BPBD Denpasar said that the python was 5-meter long and 10-centimeters wide. 

The reptile can be seen in a video posted on Instagram by @denpasar.viral in which local residents appear to have the slithery snake well in hand.

“We have coordinated with BKSDA and Bali Reptile Rescue on what to do further, or its eventual release,” Joni was quoted as saying.
