Bali has updated its test requirements for incoming domestic travelers. Here’s what you should know

Bali has extended testing requirements for incoming domestic visitors, with the new update now mandating all travelers to present either a negative PCR or antigen rapid test result from Jan.
9 onwards.
Bali Governor Wayan Koster announced the extension in a circular, which specifies that those traveling by air, road, or sea must obtain a negative PCR test result within two days of entering Bali, while a negative antigen rapid test result must be obtained one day before. The validity period of the test results was initially announced to be seven days, but this has since been updated on Jan. 9 to reflect the latest changes.
Air travelers are additionally required to electronically fill in the Health Alert Card (eHAC) and children below 12 years of age are not required to present any test results.
This latest update slightly differs from the requirements implemented during the Christmas and New Year holiday period — which ends on Jan. 8 — as those only accepted negative PCR swab test results for air travelers coming to Bali, while those traveling via other modes of transportation must present a negative antigen rapid test result.
From Saturday onwards, either types of tests will be accepted as long as they are negative and are obtained within the specified period.
The new requirements are applicable from Jan. 9 until further notice.
