An Australian national, identified by his initials MGF, was detained by authorities yesterday, after he allegedly caused quite a scene on the streets of Seminyak while intoxicated. 

The incident began when the 37-year-old got in a fight with another foreigner at a nightclub in Seminyak, Detik reported.

Former Indonesian president B.J. Habibie, who ushered in an era of democratic reforms after the downfall of long-time dictator Suharto, died on Wednesday at the age of 83 in Jakarta, his family and officials said.
