Indigenous Movie Night | Rumah Sanur Night Market | Zouk Invasion | Cool Things To Do in Bali This Weekend (Jan 31-Feb 2)
This Friday, Paradiso Ubud is hosting their first monthly indigenous film night in 2020 with a special screening of “Standing On Sacred Ground: Profit and Loss,” a documentary on indigenous communities around the world as they resist threats to their sacred sites.
Prior to the screening, there will be a short documentary on a tribal gathering scheduled to take place in Panama in late February, presented by a member of the organizing team of the event.
Get a chance to learn more about the challenges facing indigenous communities and meet like-minded people. Organizers say 50 percent of ticket sales will go on to support indigenous filmmakers and cultural preservation education programs in Borneo.

If that sounds like something you’re up for, then head on over to Rumah Sanur on Friday, where there’s going to be music performances by John & Jail Story, Lucky Cats, and Komunitas Teratai. There will also be goods and food as well, so take a friend with you as you mingle with the town!
