Spin Sugar Vol. #104

This Friday, celebrate the vinyl culture in Bali and join the island’s vinyl collectors and aficionados at an event featuring the Spin Sugar Vinyl Frontiers as speakers and a whole lot of vinyl-playing throughout the evening. Organizers are also promising games with vinyl as prizes, as they encourage participants to share their stories in the gathering.

WeCreate is experimenting with creativity this Saturday, inviting participants to join them in a day of talks and workshops featuring creatives from art, fashion, music and photography. This includes workshops hosted by DJ Halim Ardie, artist Nova Hissy, pattern designer Madame, and photographer Tasha Serena, as well as talks from creative freelancer Danielle Thompson and photojournalist Nyimas Laula.

Tea Mixing Workshop

This one’s for all of you tea lovers out there. This free workshop will tell you all you need to know about tea mixing, and you’ll get a chance to create your own, too, which you can later bring home. It sounds like a pretty simple skill, but why not try something new and interesting – it’s a new year, after all.

Mexican Wave – Bushfire Fundraiser

Join Motel Mexicola this weekend on their new event series “Mexican Wave,” which will be dedicated to fundraising for the bushfire relief in Australia on its debut and in conjunction with Australian Day. All of the proceeds from door entry will be donated to Wildlife Victoria, Red Cross Australia and WIRES. The admission fee includes a welcome drink, a fun auction and live music.
