In 2020, travel might look a little different as the tourism industry gears to welcome the rise of the “new nomad,” a generation of travelers looking for more than a simple escape as they seek to also engage with every aspect of their destination while not neglecting their professional duties.

Bali has become a digital nomad tropical haven in recent years, with the coworking scene blossoming amid changing travel trends. Because who wouldn’t want to spend weeks soaking in vitamin sea and immersing in the natural beauty offered by the Island of the Gods?

For Outpost co-founder David Abraham, his hospitality brand is ready to welcome the remote professionals/holidaymakers with its third coliving and coworking space located in Ubud’s Penestanan village, which is set to open on Jan. 20.

Outpost is an OG of the Bali coworking scene, which first opened in Ubud back in 2016, followed by a second location in Cambodia (which is currently on the move) and another one in Canggu. All of Outpost’s spaces provide coliving options, including the upcoming one.

Outpost Ubud Penestanan is set to be the company’s first “all-in-one” space that goes beyond coworking and coliving, as it will include F&B and wellness areas that are set to be launched later this year.

The space was designed by German-born architect Alexis Dornier, who is now based in Ubud and has increasingly become a household name in design and architecture across Pulau Dewata.

The cost of coliving and coworking at Outpost Ubud Penestanan is US$57 nightly, US$370 weekly, US$920 for four weeks, or US$2,760 for 12 weeks. It’s also got workspace-only packages, which starts at US$49 per month, while its daily (from 8am to midnight) coworking rate is US$16. Outpost also says it’s scouting new locations across the Asia Pacific, as the company plans to expand further in the region.
