One thing you may not expect when going to campus is to spot a 4.5-meter python, but that’s exactly what happened to the students of Bali State Polytechnic in Jimbaran today.

A video of the snake curled on the ceiling of a parking building on the campus has been shared widely on social media, showing a man attempting to remove the reptile with some difficulties, given where it had chosen to perch.

Later in the footage above, the snake can be seen slithering to a different spot on the ceiling – its long body on better display.

Kevin Rambi, a student at the university, told Merdeka that the snake was first spotted at around 11am and was soon followed by a crowd trying to get a glimpse of the reptile.

Bali State Polytechnic reportedly called on a snake handler to remove it from campus, and it is not yet clear where it came from.

This isn’t the first snake sighting in Bali in recent months, with others being multiple cobra sightings that were reported across the island back in December. The sightings placed Bali among other regions throughout Indonesia that have seen cobras invading human settlements recently.
