Pulau Plastik, which translates to Plastic Island, is a collaborative campaign aimed at helping tackle the issue of single-use plastic on the island and beyond. A launch event for the campaign’s four-episode short film series will be screened at Badung Market this Friday, with music performances from Bali-based musicians including indie-folk group Nosstress, set to follow.

Join the people behind Pulau Plastik to learn more about key issues surrounding single-use plastics, from government policy to the food and hospitality industry; all episodes are said to feature strong Balinese philosophy and its relationship with single use plastics.

Friday, Dec 6 at Badung Market from 8pm to 11.30pm. Register for the launch event of Pulau Plastik series launch here.

Christmas Bazaar

December is all about the holidays and if this is your favorite time of the year, anything remotely Christmas-y should definitely not miss your radar. If you’re still looking for Christmas gifts or if you just want to take a photo with Santa (both are on par, we think), do stop by Tamora Gallery and Nite Market Bali’s joint event this Saturday in Berawa.

Organizers say they are planning to screen Christmas movies as well, on top of a kids playground and activities organized for the occasion. Let this one be a family event and a chance to score a bargain from some of the best vendors from the area.

Saturday, Dec 7, from 4pm to 10pm at Tamora Gallery. Free entry. For more information, check out their Facebook event page.
